Potency of Severe Plastic Deformation Processes for Optimizing Combinations of Strength and Electrical Conductivity of Lightweight Al-Based Conductor Alloys

چکیده
This paper presents an overview of fundamentals and potential applications ultrafine-grained Al-based conductors developed with the help severe plastic deformation (SPD) techniques. Based on deliberate formation nanoscale features (such as nanoprecipitates, segregation solutes along crystallographic defects so on) within ultrafine grains, it is possible to optimise their mechanical functional performance enhancing combination strength electrical conductivity produce advanced lightweight required by modern industries. Guidelines related SPD-driven development Al alloys properties superior those exhibited traditionally processed are discussed.
